Birkdale Abroad
We are committed to providing enriching opportunities for our pupils. Foreign
exchanges, subject field trips and sports trips complement the curriculum,
enabling a better understanding of other cultures and environments.
Trips this year have included Switzerland, Italy, Spain, USA, France and Germany.
Birkdale also has strong connections with Nepal and we send pupils annually to
visit the community of Kokhana, a desperately poor village in the Kathmandu
Valley of Nepal. There the pupils spend time teaching in selected schools
supported by Birkdale, which for many proves to be a life changing experience.
